Every year, ConocoPhillips hires graduates who have completed their master’s degrees. The company is a technology driven workplace, so many of the positions we offer are based within geosciences and engineering. We also need resources with other qualifications such as IT, finance, contract administration and HSE.
Graduates are offered a permanent position while commencing one- or two-year programs, where they receive an individually tailored plan, with professional learning and rotation between in different groups and functions.
At ConocoPhillips, the internship program is developed for young people who have kick-started their higher education. Our objective is to provide insights to work life and daily business activities. The internship program is relevant for third- or fourth-year students and usually announced during autumn. In some cases, it may be relevant to complete a master’s assignment in cooperation with ConocoPhillips.
At ConocoPhillips, we have a tailored program for apprentices. Every year, we hire several new apprentices. Potential candidates are interviewed, laying the foundation for an offer to be included in the apprenticeship program with start-up in August-September.
The apprenticeship period offshore or onshore offers a two-year program, taking place after completing two years at upper secondary school. The apprenticeship period lasts until the final test for the certificate of apprenticeship has been completed. All apprentices will be offered a mentor throughout the period, in collaboration with the authorities’ guidelines. Becoming an apprentice within ConocoPhillips provides an opportunity to learn the discipline while also getting to know the industry and the company.
Relevant subjects may vary from year to year, and disciplines offshore may change between automation, electro, industry mechanics, crane operator, chemistry and process, mechanic, NDT control, telecommunications, and logistics. Onshore there are opportunities within information technology, logistics, office and administration.
